Gamal H. Eltabbakh ~ MD, FRCOG, FACOG
Dr. Eltabbakh graduated with honors from Alexandria Medical School, Egypt in 1978 as one of the top one percent in his class. Dr. Eltabbakh has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology for approximately 25 years. He was the Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Fletcher Allen Health Care between the years 1998-2002. He became full professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont in July 2001. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Gynecologic Oncology and is a fellow of both the American & Royal Colleges of OBGYN. He has published 110 papers in different areas of gynecologic oncology and two textbooks. Dr. Eltabbakh's book, Myths and Facts about Ovarian Cancer has been listed as the most popular book on ovarian cancer by Amazon.com. Dr. Eltabbakh has been selected as one of the best doctors in america.

Georgia Eltabbakh ~ MS, PA-C
Georgia was trained as a Physician Assistant in Buffalo, NY and she has been practicing in Vermont since 1998 in women's health. The areas of particular interest to her are contraception, health changes in menopause, STD prevention and gynecologic oncology. Prior to becoming a PA, she worked on her Ph.D. and did research in both basic science of endocrinology and clinical research on STD's and Pap smears, and the effect of HRT on cardiovascular risk in menopause. Georgia is also a clinical faculty member of the University of Vermont.

Amy O'Meara ~ NP
Amy worked for many years as a writer and editor both in Vermont and England and was involved in a variety of volunteer activities. She graduated from Boston College's Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program in 2006. Most recently she has worked as a clinician at a Planned Parenthood in Pennsylvania before deciding to move back to Vermont with her family. Her areas of special interest include family planning, assessment and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, sexual and domestic abuse, health education and high quality well-woman care.

Joanne Moody ~ RN, OCN
(Oncology Certified Nurse) chemotherapy certified
Joanne obtained her Associate Degree of Science Cum Laude in Nursing from the University of Vermont in 1987. She has worked as a registered nurse in different areas of Fletcher Allen Health Care for 15 years. For seven years, she has been the senior nurse in the Division of Gynecologoc Oncology. Joanne has extensive experience in gynecologic oncology patient care, chemotherapy, and triaging. She is certified in chemotherapy administration and is also an Oncology Certified Nurse.

Toni Duclos ~ RN, OCN
Chemotherapy Nurse
Toni has provided direct patient care at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in their oncology department. She provided resident care at Cathedral Square Assisted Living in addition to developing the policies and procedures that are in place there today. Toni is a highly organized and competent nurse. She is now responsible for the management of the chemotherapy department as well as patient care here at LCGO.

Candi Gingras ~ LPN
Wellness Nurse
Candi has been a nurse for over 27 years. She had been working as a family practice nurse for 20 years. Candi came to us in January 2005. She has become a vital part of our office workings. Her positive attitude and cheerful demeanor are an asset to LCGO.

Debra Nugent ~ CPhT
Certified Pharmacy Technician
Debra has worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Fletcher Allen Health Care (FAHC) for 20 years. She has been a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician Specialist at FAHC for approximately 9 years specializing in Investigational / Research and Chemotherapy preparation. She has been at Lake Champlain Gynecologic Oncology since August 2002. Debra received her Pharmacy Technician Certification in September 1993 and Vermont State registration in October 2003. Debra has been the Technician Representative for the Vermont Society of Health Systems Pharmacist for the last 6 years.

Tonya Martell ~
Director of Patient Relations, COA, Phlebotomist, IT Administrator
Tonya graduated from Colchester High School in 1989. She worked as Laboratory Specialist, Lead Laboratory Specialist, Phlebotomist and Clinical Office Assistant in Fletcher Allen Health Care for 6 years. She has been with LCGO since it started in 2002. Her specialty is in surgical scheduling, and computer troubleshooting. She also helps to maintain our website. Currently Tonya is attending CCV part time to earn an A.S. in Computer Systems Management.

Sheila Clayton ~
Lead Clinical Office Assistant
Sheila has been a Clinical Office Assistant for 5 years. She worked for 3 1/2 years in a pediatrician's office and then transferred to the Women's Health Care Service. Sheila joined Lake Champlain Gynecologic Oncology in November 2003. She particularly enjoys the personal approach to customer service.

Adrienne Charboneau ~

Adrienne graduated from St. Michael's College in 2006 with a Biology degree. Adrienne joined LCGO in June of 2006. She is currently a full-time graduate student at St. Michael's college working torward a Master's of Science in Administration. Adrienne's pleasant attitude puts a smile on our patient's faces.

Deb Frazier ~ CCS-P, CPC
Billing Coordinator
Debbie Frazier is the billing administrator at Lake Champlain Gynecologic Oncology. She is a graduate of the Commerce High School of Business. Debbie entered into the United States Navy as a hospital corps wave in the medical field. She did her schooling in Great Lakes, Illinois and her remaining tour in Norfolk, Virginia. After her two year completion of the Navy, Debbie received an Honorable Discharge. She then attended a two year certificate program with Champlain College to become a Certified Coding Specialist. After 5 years of medical billing with MBA Resources, she accepted a position in the HIM coding department at Fletcher Allen Health Care (FAHC) as a Health Record Analyst. While at FAHC she became certified in medical coding and received her Certified Professional Coding credentialing. After four years at FAHC she came to Lake Champlain Gynecologic Oncology.

Donna Circe ~
Billing Specialist
Donna obtained her certificate of coding from the American Academy of Professional Coders in August, 2003. She has worked in the Billing/Coding field of Business for 20 years. She worked at Fletcher Allen Healthcare for 5 years in the Professional Revenue Department. She strives at paying attention to detail and is a great team player.

Michele Nydegger ~
Volunteer
Michele is our volunteer, who does all jobs no one else wants to do. Michele fixes lunch for our chemo patients, maintains our equipment and does all laundry and ironing. Michele feels a deep sense of gratitude and friendship not only to the entire office but in particular to Dr. Gamal Eltabbakh, who is responsible for Michele's good health in July 2001, Michele had ovarian cancer (stage 3), Dr. Eltabbakh operated on her twice and managed her chemotherapy treatment and subsequent visits. Dr. Eltabbakh has always been there for her and she feels very strongly about giving back to him.
